Description	:	Margaret E “Gene” Ryalls, 92, of Troy, Va. was called to her Heavenly Home on May 5, 2020. Born October 6, 1927 in Charlottesville, Va., she was the daughter of Linwood Earl Wright and Minnie Pearl Lamb. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Russell Calvin Ryalls and Mary Yvonne Ryalls, her granddaughter. Gene was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved music. She played the piano and the organ for over 40 years for Beaver Dam Baptist Church. She was a great cook, everyone raved about her baked beans! She... Read More	Margaret E “Gene” Ryalls, 92, of Troy, Va. was called to her Heavenly Home on May 5, 2020. Born October 6, 1927 in Charlottesville, Va., she was the daughter of Linwood Earl Wright and Minnie Pearl Lamb. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Russell Calvin Ryalls and Mary Yvonne Ryalls, her granddaughter. Gene was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved music. She played the piano and the organ for over 40 years for Beaver Dam Baptist Church. She was a great cook, everyone raved about her baked beans! She loved to sit in her yard and watch birds; cardinals were her favorite followed closely by hummingbirds. She loved spending time with her loved ones, especially cooking for them. She was loved by everyone who met her. She attended James Madison College for a few years, became a secretary at VEPCO, then stayed at home to raise her son Larry. She was like a second mother to many of her son’s friends throughout their school years. She doted on everyone she met. Gene is survived by a son, Larry Wayne Ryalls, Troy, Va. She is survived by her grandchildren, Corey Wayne Ryalls of Troy, Va., Courtney Lynne Foltz of Mineral, Va., and Tiffany Jeanne Ryalls of Troy, Va. Gene had seven great-grandchildren, Shelby Lynne Dunivan, Lily Kathrynne Foltz, Zayne Ryan Lewis, Riley Brianne Foltz, Vance Calvin Foltz, Ziva Yvonne Lewis, and Karizma Gene Green; and a devoted daughter-in-law, Debra H. Ryalls. Her family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Evans and Hospice of the Piedmont, for their wonderful care and their warm hearts this past month. We would also like to thank Brad Green for all of the care and love he has shown Gene for the past couple of years. Her family will be holding a private graveside service, May 8, 2020 at Beaver Dam Baptist Church with Pastor Greg Wissinger officiating the service.
