Description	:	Funeral services for Margaret E. Novak will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Lost Nation with the Rev. William C. Kneemiller officiating. Friends may call on Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Lahey Funeral Home in Lost Nation where a vigil service will be held at 7:00 p.m. The family will honor her wishes and her body will be cremated following the services. Memorials may be given to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Lost Nation. Margaret Edna Loehr was born on October 23, 1929, in Anamosa, Iowa, the daughter of George and Bessie Kathryn (Underwood) Loehr. She graduated from Anamosa High School and attended Marshalltown Nursing School. She married Paul Joseph Novak on March 28, 1951 in Tama, Iowa. Paul died on April 18, 2004. She was a lifetime farmwife and homemaker. In earlier years, she worked as a LPN in Marshalltown and DeWitt. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Lost Nation. Margaret loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She loved farming, horses, cats and dogs. She was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening and flowers. She is survived by 2 daughters, Cathy (Mrs. David) Tracy of Willow, Alaska and Karen (Mrs. Jeff) Mackey of Clarence; 3 sons, Steve (& Arlette) Novak of Cedar Falls, David (& Stella) Novak of Rock Island, Illinois and Michael (& Jane) Novak of Calamus. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and 3 brothers, George Loehr of Cedar Rapids, James (& Doris) Loehr of Hale and Allen (& Dorothy) Loehr of Lisbon. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, an infant son and a sister, Mary. Margaret E. Novak of Lost Nation died Monday, May 30, 2005, at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa following a long illness at the age of 75 years. (Source: Lahey Funeral Home)
