Description	:	Margaret Elaine Boss, age 83, passed away March 9 at her winter home in Apache Junction, Arizona. Funeral services were held Wednesday March 16 at the United Methodist Church in Shelby. Interment was in the Shelby Cemetery. Dubas Funeral Home of Shelby and Osceola was in charge of arrangements. Margaret was born March 27, 1932 to Marion and Gladys (Arbuck) Thomas in Shelby. Margaret was born March 27, 1932 to Marion and Gladys (Arbuck) Thomas in Shelby. She attended school in Shelby, Nebraska graduating in 1949. On February 27, 1952 she was united in marriage to LaVern F. Boss at Trinity Lutheran church in Columbus, Nebraska. To this union two children were born, a son and daughter. Margaret met her husband while working at Becton-Dickinson in Columbus. After the two were married, Margaret became a homemaker. She was a member of the United Methodist church in Shelby. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, quilting and an avid sports fan. She was a 4-H leader for many years. She especially enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren and following their activities. Margaret and her husband spent 30 winters in Apache Junction, Arizona together and she continued wintering in Arizona after the passing of her husband LaVern in February 2009. She was preceded in death by her husband LaVern, parents and one grandchild Wyatt Grossnicklaus.
