She was born June 30, 1927 in Chicago, Illinois to Clarence Gervais and Edna Price. Margaret was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church and attended Sunday School. She loved sewing for her family and canning. Mrs. Phillips was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Lee Phillips; three brothers; and two sisters. Graveside service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Leon Church officiating. The family has requested no flowers.
