Read More	Margaret Ellen Elder was the daughter of Alfred Elder and Alice Harriet Holmes. She married Howard Marion Linn in 1899 in Iowa. Obituary: "Margaret Ellen Elder, daughter of Alfred and Alice H. Elder, was born near Milton, Iowa, November 23, 1877. She spent her girlhood days in Van Buren county and became a member of the Methodist church. On September 20, 1899, she was united in marriage to Howard M. Linn. They resided here for about a year when they moved to Fort Dodge, Iowa, where they have resided ever since. To this union two children were born. She is survived by her husband, Howard M. Linn; her daughter, Mrs. George W. Lundgreen of Yankton, S.D.; her son Herman Ray Linn of Fort Dodge, Iowa; and two grandsons; also her mother, Mrs. Alice H. Elder of Keosauqua, Iowa; two sisters, Mrs. S.H. Fitzsimmons of Des Moines, Iowa, and Mrs. N.W. Murrow of Mitchellville, Iowa; four brothers, D.H. Elder of Des Moines, Iowa, I.N. Elder of Woodward, Iowa; H.F. Elder and A.O. Elder of Keosauqua, Iowa. Her father preceded her in death three years ago. She was always intensely interested in the welfare of her friends and neighbors always helping as much as she was able. Death came Sunday, January 18, at 2:25 a.m., after an illness of one year. Funeral services were held at the Keosauqua M.E. church, Wednesday afteroon at 1:00 o'clock in charge of Rev. M.E. Hayes, pastor. Burial in Fellows cemetery."
