Description	:	Margaret Wolford Chaney, 84, of Taneytown, formerly of Manchester, died Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2007, at Lorien in Taneytown. Born Sept. 28, 1922, in Keyser, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Edward Henry and Bernice Palmer Wolford. She was the wife of Richard B. Chaney, who died in 1978. She graduated from Shepherd College. Before retiring, she was a teacher at Viers Mill Elementary School. She was a member of Piedmont Presbyterian Church in Piedmont, W.Va., and the Retired Montgomery County Teachers Association. Surviving are son and daughter-in-law Richard B. Jr. and Janice Chaney of Westminster; and grandsons Richard B. "Cory" III and Ryan R. Chaney, both of Towson, and Michael E. Chaney of Westminster. She was predeceased by her brother Edward Palmer Wolford. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Fredlock Funeral Home, 31 Jones St., Piedmont, W.Va., with the Rev. Paul Smith officiating. Interment will be in Philos Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at Fletcher Funeral Home, 254 E. Main St., Westminster, and from noon until time of service Sunday at Fredlock Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Carroll Hospice, 292 Stoner, Ave., Westminster, MD 21157.
