Description	:	Margaret Ellen Woodson Campbell, 99, of Waynesboro, passed into rest Friday, October 9, 2015, at Waynesboro Manor.She was born in Avon (Nelson County) on November 16, 1915, to the late James Morris Woodson and Josephine Kent Rhodes Woodson. Read More	Margaret Ellen Woodson Campbell, 99, of Waynesboro, passed into rest Friday, October 9, 2015, at Waynesboro Manor.She was born in Avon (Nelson County) on November 16, 1915, to the late James Morris Woodson and Josephine Kent Rhodes Woodson. She is the last member of her immediate family. In 1937, Margaret married her husband, Maphis P. Campbell, who preceded her in death in 1986.The Campbell family moved to Beech Grove in 1944, where Margaret was an active member of Beech Grove Christian Church for 43 years. She also was a member, for many years, of the Nelson County Garden Club and a charter member of the Three Ridge Garden Club. After moving to Waynesboro in 1987, she became a member of First Presbyterian Church, where she was a volunteer worker on the Columns staff and Women of the Church. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her six brothers, Edgar, Forrest, Virgil Rhodes, Harry, Thomas, and Lewis Woodson; and a sister, Mary Woodson Flannagan Eakle. Survivors include her son, Jerry M. Campbell and wife, Joan, of Waynesboro; grandson, Gregory Scott Campbell of Waynesboro; sister-in-law, Thelma Leech; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 13, 2015, at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes with the Rev. George W. Chapman III officiating. Interment will follow at Beech Grove Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Chester Campbell, John Hodge, Merv Wootin, Dr. John Pierce, Danny Leech, Neel Flannagan, David Dodd, and Frank Armentrout. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Monday, October 12, 2015, at the funeral home. The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Waynesboro Manor for their loving care of Margaret for the past three years, and a special thank you to her nieces, Zane Pierce, Kay Wooton, and Ollie Hughes; as well as a thank you the her friend, Patsy Ferrier.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Margaret's memory to WARM, P.O.
