Elliott, a member of one of the pioneer families of Napa county, died at the St. Helena Sanitarium Thursday morning at 9:20 o'clock. Mrs. Elliott had been ill for about two weeks and last Saturday was taken to the St. Helena Sanitarium to submit to an operation in hopes of saving her life. The effort was without avail, however, and she died without recovering from the shock of the ordeal through which she had passed, the operation having been performed Wednesday night.... Mrs. Margaret Elliott, whose maiden name was Margaret Bradley, was the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William T. Bradley, Napa county pioneers. Her mother is still living and on September 20th next will be 90 years old. Mr. Bradley passed away many years ago. Deceased was horn near Yountville, Napa county, August 21, 1862. She was married to James B. Elliott on February 22, 1882 and for many years had resided near Rutherford. All of the nearly 66 years of her life had been spent in Napa county. Deceased is survived by her husband, one son, Emmitt Elliott and one granddaughter Maxine, of Colusa; also by her aged mother and one sister and six brothers—Mrs. Fred Ellis, of Oakland; Henry and Wirt Bradley, of San Jose; William, Joe and Walter Bradley, of Oakland; and George Bradley, of St. Helena. Mrs. Elliott was a woman of many noble traits of character and was dearly loved by a large circle of relatives and friends. The funeral will take place from the Noble Funeral Home next Sunday afternoon at 1 o'clock.
