She was born July 11, 1908, in Montpelier, Indiana, the daughter of Willis and Dora (Henderson) Redding. In 1926, she married Carroll Snodgrass, who died in 1985. Snodgrass, 91, Noble Township, died at 8:20 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 29, 1999 in Defiance Hospital. She was born July 11, 1908, in Montpelier, Indiana, the daughter of Willis and Dora (Henderson) Redding. In 1926, she married Carroll Snodgrass, who died in 1985. She owned and operated the Defiance Laundromat and worked at Woolworth and Defiance Hospital's thrift shop. She was a member of Business and Professional Women and First Baptist Church. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. William ( Ruby) Egler of Jewell, and Mrs. Wesley (Ilene) Spacht and Dora Carr, both of Defiance; and 20 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren and 22 great-great-grandchildren. Also preceding here in death were a daughter, Irene Vollmer, three brothers, Donald, Roy and Robert Redding; a sister, Ruth Venis; and a grandchild and two great-grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Mast-Mock-Hoffman Funeral Home with Dr. Joe Baker officiating. Burial will be in Brunersburg Cemetery. Visitation is from 2-9 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. Wednesday until services. Preferred memorials are to Hospice the Caring Way of Defiance. Services for Margaret Snodgrass were held Wednesday at Mast-Mock-Hoffman Funeral Home with Dr. Joe Baker officiating. Burial was in Brunersburg Cemetery. Pallbearers were Lennie Prigge, Donald Huard, Steve and Mike Loop, Daniel Egler and Matt Winebrenner.
