McIntire, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James McIntire, was born in Mercer county, Ill., Feb. 8, 1864 and died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Vance Wright of Russell, Iowa, Jan. 5, 1924, age 59 years, 10 months and 29 days. McIntire, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James McIntire, was born in Mercer county, Ill., Feb. 8, 1864 and died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Vance Wright of Russell, Iowa, Jan. 5, 1924, age 59 years, 10 months and 29 days. She came with her parents to Wayne county, Iowa, in 1875 where she was since resided, until four years ago they moved to South Dakota. March 14, 1889 she was united in marriage to J. Ira Hart and to this union nine children were born. They are: Mrs. Ed Cox and Mrs. Vance Wright of Russell, Iowa. Mrs. Ray Nye of Seymour, Iowa. Mrs. Carl Montieth of Clark, South Dakota, John of Sewal, Iowa, Faye, Fern, Opal and Herman who are left at home. Over a year ago she became stricken with the dreaded disease, cancer, and was a constant sufferer. She came to Iowa a few weeks ago for treatment but gradually grew worse and departed this life at the home of her daughter, Mrs. V. E. Wright of Russell, Iowa. She was converted and united with the Baptist church of Corydon in the year 1899 and later changed her membership to the United Brethren near Seymour and has been a faithful advocate of the cause of Christ until the Master called her from our midst. She leaves to mourn her loss besides her husband and children, fifteen grandchildren, three sisters, Mrs. Frank Clayton, Mrs. Ellen Ames, Shannon City, Ia., Mrs. S. B. Reddick, Portland Ore., four brothers, Chas. and Lincoln McIntire of Promise City, Ia., George of Aleda, Ill., and Henry of Tama, Iowa. Funeral services were conducted by Rev.
