Read More	the Morning Sun News-Herald Maggie Glasgow-Hewitt was born April 1st, 1868, at Promise City, Wayne county, Iowa, and departed this life from her home in Morning Sun July 29th, 1901, being 34 years, 3 months and 14 days old. In early life at the age of 12 years she professed her faith in Christ and united with the United Presbyterian church at Coulterville, Illinois, under the pastorate of Reverend J. H. Gibson. She was married to Alvin H. Hewitt June 15th, 1893; she leaves behind her to mourn their loss her husband and little son Dwight; her father, mother and three brothers. Mrs. Hewitt's sickness had been a protracted one; she suffered much at times, but has manifested a patient spirit through it all, She desired to live for the sake of her friends and her little boy to whom her mother's heart clung with the tenderest love, but she bowed in submission to the divine will and during the last few days of her sickness longed to fall asleep in Jesus and be at rest. Her religious life was of the quiet, sort, but deep and devoted. She loved her church, her home, her friends, her Savior. We have every reason to believe that she has gone to her reward and has received at her Redeemer's hand that crown of righteousness which the Lord, the righteous judge, will give to all those who love his appearing, The funeral services were held from the home Tuesday, July 30th, conducted by Reverend J. P. Nesbit, assisted by Reverends S. H. Parvin, C. D. Trumbull and T. P. Robb. The interment took place at Elmwood cemetery.
