She attended District 41 and graduated from Dodge High School in 1936. She attended Midland College in Fremont, NE and taught school in Cuming and Colfax Counties before her marriage. Margaret was united in marriage to Eldon Janecek on June 1, 1943 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Dodge, NE. They farmed in Cuming County their entire married life. Eldon and Margaret worked together on the farm. Margaret lived on the home place until moving to Parkview Home, in Dodge. Margaret was a member of St. Wenceslaus Church and Christian Mothers. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eldon of 56 years on April 10, 1999; her parents; three brothers, John (Betty) Hanzel, Ed (Rose) Hanzel, and Frank (Mary) Hanzel; one sister, Frances (Nick) Wackel and one great grandchild, Kendra.
