Description	:	Margaret Dunn, widow of the late Joe Dunn, died of pneumonia at a Nebraska hospital on Jan. 10. Margaret Hunter was born in Nova Scotia, the daughter of John and Margaret Dickson Hunter. When she was very small, the family moved to South Dakota and in 1885 they moved on to the Hat Creek Valley near Bodarc, north of Harrison, Nebraska, which was then called Bowen. Read More	Margaret Dunn, widow of the late Joe Dunn, died of pneumonia at a Nebraska hospital on Jan. 10. Margaret Hunter was born in Nova Scotia, the daughter of John and Margaret Dickson Hunter. When she was very small, the family moved to South Dakota and in 1885 they moved on to the Hat Creek Valley near Bodarc, north of Harrison, Nebraska, which was then called Bowen. Her father lost his arm in the Civil War in the battle of Antietam, and he was the first judge at Harrison. She began her teaching career at the age of sixteen years, a profession she dearly loved and continued the rest of her life until ill health did not permit. She taught in Nebraska, the Dakotas and in Wyoming. She married Martin Carroll in 1902 and they had two sons, Bill and Mike, who are both deceased. Bill died of a heart attack about Thanksgiving last year. She was later married to Mr. Oestreich. In 1932 she was married to Joe Dunn who died in 1963. Survivors include two brothers, Tom Hunter of Casper, Wyoming and Jack Hunter of Ardmore, So. Dak.; three sisters, Myrtle Points of Rushville, Nebr., Abbie Orcutt of Holyoke, Colo., Mabel Jordan of Montana; many nieces and nephews; and a daughter-in-law, Alta Carroll of Redding, Cal. She is buried beside her parents, a sister, and a brother who gave his life in World War I. (Information was obtained from her obituary in the Douglas Budget, Douglas, WY, Jan. 19, 1967).
