Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, at Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 Third St. N.E. in Mason City, with the Rev. Craig Steimel of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mason City officiating. Inurnment will be in the St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery in Dougherty. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday and one hour prior to service time on Tuesday at the chapel. The family of Margaret Kathleen Ramker has requested that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of North Iowa in her memory. Margaret Kathleen Ramker was born on Feb. 19, 1926, in Dougherty, the daughter of Daniel and Margaret (Forrett) Mullin. She attended and received her education at St. Patrick's Catholic School, graduating from St. Patrick's Catholic High School in 1944. She was united in marriage to Kenneth Ramker in 1948 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Dougherty. After their marriage they owned and operated the Dougherty Bar for eight years before moving to Waverly where Kathleen worked for the Waverly Publishing Co. for 20 years until her retirement. After her retirement, Kathleen continued to live in Waverly where she took care of her husband and mother. Kathleen moved to Mason City in 2001. She enjoyed crocheting, music, crossword puzzles, Scrabble and other games, baking, making peanut brittle for Christmas, and was an avid reader. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mason City and former member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Dougherty. Left to cherish her memory are her nieces and nephews, Charlene Manwaring of Mason City, Donna Henry of Decorah, Linda Alden-Johnson and her husband, Jerry, of Marana, Ariz., Michael Alden and his wife, Penny, of Manly, Susan Pittman and her husband, Keith, of Waterloo, and Sonja Cadwell and her husband, Tim, of Hamilton, Mo., as well as many great and great-great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth; one brother, Virgil (Bernadine) Mullin; one sister, Marie (Mike) Alden, and two great-nephews, Kevin Henry and Virgil Hansen.
