Description	:	Margaret "Peg" O'Neill, 93, of Sioux City, formerly of South Sioux City, died Monday, Dec. 9, 2002, at a Sioux City hospital following a lengthy illness. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Jackson, Neb., with the Revs. Richard Whiting and Gerald Hartz officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Emerson, Neb. Visitation with the family present will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with a Catholic Daughters of America rosary at 4 p.m. and a vigil service at 7 p.m., all at the church. Read More	Margaret "Peg" O'Neill, 93, of Sioux City, formerly of South Sioux City, died Monday, Dec. 9, 2002, at a Sioux City hospital following a lengthy illness. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Jackson, Neb., with the Revs. Richard Whiting and Gerald Hartz officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Emerson, Neb. Visitation with the family present will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with a Catholic Daughters of America rosary at 4 p.m. and a vigil service at 7 p.m., all at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Margaret was born Feb. 2, 1909, in Jackson, Neb., to John and Helen (Mannion) Daley. She graduated from St. Catherine's Academy in Jackson, in 1927, with a Normal Training degree. On Aug. 31, 1927, she married Sherlock O'Neill in Jackson. He passed away Nov. 13, 1964. The couple owned and operated a family farm near Emerson and a gas station in Homer, Neb., before moving to South Sioux City in 1946. She was most proud of being a homemaker, but did work for Martins and Younkers as a clerk. She was a cook for Region IV and worked in the school cafeteria both in South Sioux City. She was a member and past officer of Catholic Daughters of America, St. Michael's Catholic Church in South Sioux City and St. Catherine's Alumnae. Survivors include her daughters, Mary and her husband, Glen Cary, of Dow City, Iowa, Peggy Demke of South Sioux City, Betty and her husband, Bob Tighe, of Monticello, Iowa, and Carol and her husband, Jimmie Livermore, of Davenport, Iowa; her sons and their wives, Dan and Mona (Sullivan) O'Neill of Dakota City and Sherlock and Sue (Snyder) O'Neill of DeWitt, Iowa; 22 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren complete Peg's beloved Irish Clan. Along with her husband, Sherlock, she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Jean Marie; two sons, William and Leo; a brother, Joseph Daley; four sisters, Mary Moore, Kay Beacom, Ann Ebel and Eve Rush; and a granddaughter, Maggie Cary.
