Description	:	Margaret (Peggy) Lenora Boasen of Richland, WA died peacefully in her sleep on February 22, 2015 while at the Lifecare Center of Kennewick. Peggy was born October 30, 1930, to Frank and Alda Titus (while the noon whistle was blowing) in Albion, Nebraska. Peggy had five older siblings, three sisters and two brothers. Read More	Margaret (Peggy) Lenora Boasen of Richland, WA died peacefully in her sleep on February 22, 2015 while at the Lifecare Center of Kennewick. Peggy was born October 30, 1930, to Frank and Alda Titus (while the noon whistle was blowing) in Albion, Nebraska. Peggy had five older siblings, three sisters and two brothers. She attended school in Albion, Berea, and Alliance NE. After high school she worked for the Ma Bell Telephone Company as an operator, and then later in the business office. She met her husband of over 54 years, Jack Boasen, at the Ma Bell Telephone Company, where he was a lineman from Rapid City, SD, assisting with the new "dial" telephones. They dated a week before he went back to SD. The day he left to go back, he climbed a telephone pole to call Peggy to tell her goodbye. They wrote letters for three weeks and he returned to ask Peggy to marry him. They married on August 28, 1949 and later moved to Belle Fourche, SD where their first child was born. Their family moved to Washington, California, and back to Washington, during which time Peggy and Jack were blessed with four more children. Peggy and Jack attended West Side Church where they were actively involved in the high school fellowship and other church activities. Peggy remained a faithful member of the church. Peggy was fun, active, and caring. She was a beloved Mother, Aunt, Grandmother and friend. She enjoyed employment as an Avon Representative, and later was known through the neighborhood as the friendly clerk and postal worker at Pennywise Drugstore in Richland. She enjoyed many years of bowling at "Atomic Lanes," and traveling to many tournaments in other states. In later years her avid fisherman husband got her on the river and she shared the joy of fishing with him for many years. Sometimes, she even caught more than Jack! When all her children had left the nest, she enjoyed being a "Bomber Booster" for Richland High School. As the grandchildren started to arrive, she was there to help the "new" moms. She loved those tiny babies. Peggy enjoyed and was quite good at working crossword puzzles. Her music of choice was country and gospel. Amazing Grace was her favorite hymn. All who knew her, loved to talk with her because Peggy "never forgot" a story, a tale, or a name. She was the family memory keeper. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, siblings Elden Titus, Phyllis Bolin, Mildred Coglizer, Frank Titus, Shirley Struebing, and great-granddaughter Kylie Caudill. Peggy is survived by her five children Nicki (Bob) Denny of Vancouver, WA, John Boasen of Richland, WA, Norri (Michael) Beckelhymer of Mukilteo, WA, Frank Boasen of Richland, WA, and Robin Boasen of Richland, WA. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
