Rosary was Sunday evening at 7:30 with funeral services Monday at 10:30 a.m. both at the Sacred Heart Church in Lawrence with the Rev. Thomas Au officiating. Burial was in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Survivors are three daughters, LaVonne Himmelberg of Deweese, Charlyn Jurgensmeier of Norfolk and Colleen Buescher of Ames, Iowa; 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Margaret was born on a farm southwest of St. Stephens Church on November 24, 1906. She was the daughter of William and Catherine (Dean) Ross. She attended St. Stephen's Catholic School, and after graduating from Lawrence Public High School taught rural school for several years. On April 25, 1932 she was married to George "Lefty" Buescher. They lived on and farmed the parental Buescher farm southeast of Lawrence until 1976 when they retired and moved into Lawrence. George died January 11, 1988. She was a member of Sacred Heart church (sic) and the Altar Society. Margaret was well liked in the community. Because of her warm and friendly disposition she made valued friendships easily. She typically thought of others before her own needs. She found great joy in her family and was a warm, loving and supportive wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her faith and love of life was reflected in her ever present courage, optimism, and sense of humor. Her special strength and spirit for which she was known, served as an inspiration especially to her family, and to all who knew her. Rosary services were held Sunday, October 18, 1992 at 7:30 p.m. at Sacred Heart church (sic). Mass of the Resurrection was at 10:30 a.m. Monday, October 19, 1992 also at Sacred Heart Church with Father Thomas Au officiating. Pallbearers were grandsons, Larry, Duane and Gene Himmelberg; Kevin and Bob Jurgensmeier and Joe Svoboda. Organist was great-granddaughter Michelle Kohmetscher. Soloist was Joan Hoelting. Burial was at Sacred Heart cemetery (sic). Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Vernon (Bonnie) Himmelberg of Deweese, Mrs. Don (Charlyn) Jurgensmeier of Norfolk, and Colleen Buescher of Ames, Iowa; 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
