Description	:	Margaret Louise Lungren, 65, died Saturday, Aug. 14, 2010, at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls from bleeding in the brain suffered after a fall in her home. Margaret Louise (Markie) Hegerfeld was born Jan. 17, 1945 in Brookings. She was the second daughter of Henry Hank and Margaret Louise (Duin) Hegerfeld. Read More	Margaret Louise Lungren, 65, died Saturday, Aug. 14, 2010, at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls from bleeding in the brain suffered after a fall in her home. Margaret Louise (Markie) Hegerfeld was born Jan. 17, 1945 in Brookings. She was the second daughter of Henry Hank and Margaret Louise (Duin) Hegerfeld. She spent her formative years living on the family farm near Elkton. She graduated from Elkton High School in 1963. She attended SDSU and was married April 25, 1964, to Donald L. Lungren in Elkton. During their marriage, Margaret and Don made their home in a variety of places: Elkton, Spearfish, Clark, Vermillion, Storm Lake, Iowa, Estherville, Iowa, and for the last 21 years, Pierre. While Margaret was not one to welcome change, she warmed to each of their moves and took great pleasure in making each of their houses a home with her collection of chicken items and her love of decorating for the seasons and holidays. She was a spirited woman who loved to laugh. A private person, Margaret was a staunch friend and did all she could to bring joy to lives of all those to whom she was close. She loved all the kitties she and Don had in their lives, Katze, Muffin, Black Magic, Ginger and, lastly, Tabitha Jane Suzanne Marie. Left to mourn her passing is her husband, Don, of Pierre; and her sister Janet (Ken) Cortner, of Urbandale, Iowa. In addition, she leaves one maternal aunt, Laura Earl, of Osakis, Minn.; and a host of cousins and friends from each of the places she and Don called home. She was preceded in death by her mother in August 1976 and her father in 1983. Per Margarets wishes, no funeral or memorial services are planned. Burial will occur at a later date.
