Born Sept. 3, 1919, in Cumberland, Mrs. Holler was the daughter of the late Stephen A. Knippenberg and Leona M. (Irons) Knippenberg. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Wilkie George Holler; three brothers, John, Earl, and Ernest Knippenberg; a sister, Candace Hatfield; and was the last surviving member of her immediate family. (Knippenberg) Holler [LaVale] Cumberland Times-News ********************************************************** LAVALE — Margaret Louise (Knippenberg) Holler, 92, of LaVale, passed away Thursday, Feb. 23, 2012, at Frostburg Village Nursing Home. Born Sept. 3, 1919, in Cumberland, Mrs. Holler was the daughter of the late Stephen A. Knippenberg and Leona M. (Irons) Knippenberg. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Wilkie George Holler; three brothers, John, Earl, and Ernest Knippenberg; a sister, Candace Hatfield; and was the last surviving member of her immediate family. A homemaker, Margaret was a graduate of Fort Hill High School, class of 1938. She was previously employed at the Celanese Fibers Corporation of America for 17 years. Margaret was a member of Davis Memorial United Methodist Church as a child through adulthood then became a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church and currently a member of the Park Place United Methodist Church, LaVale. She was also a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star 56. In her early years, Margaret and her husband were actively involved in square dancing and participated in a square dancing club. Margaret is survived by her son, Stephen Holler and wife, Georgia, Cumberland; her granddaughter: Dr. Stephanie Ann Holler-Howard and husband, Robert, Boston, Mass.; her great-granddaughter, Georgia Berkeley Howard; and a special nephew, Charles Hatfield, LaVale. Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, (www.AdamsFamilyFuneralHome.com) on Sunday, Feb. 26, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Monday, Feb. 27, 2012 at 2:30 p.m. with Pastor Vicki Cubbage officiating. Interment will be in Davis Memorial Cemetery.
