Description	:	Margaret "Peggy" Louise MOHR, daughter of Griffith and Edith (BRAY) MOHR was born May 28, 1928 at the family home in Cromwell, Iowa. Peggy was the 5th of 6 children, her older brothers Dwight Eugene, Hollis Griffith, Alfred Loren, older sister Doris Leah, and younger brother James Gilbert. Read More	Margaret "Peggy" Louise MOHR, daughter of Griffith and Edith (BRAY) MOHR was born May 28, 1928 at the family home in Cromwell, Iowa. Peggy was the 5th of 6 children, her older brothers Dwight Eugene, Hollis Griffith, Alfred Loren, older sister Doris Leah, and younger brother James Gilbert. After her birth, the family moved to Prescott, Iowa where her father worked on the railroad. The Depression was difficult for them and her father later got a job on a farm south of Macksburg. Peggy enjoyed her time on the farm as a youth. She attended high school in Arispe and then Tingley where she graduated in 1945. It was there that she met her future husband Elbert Ray SKARDA and were married February 14, 1950. Four children were born to this union: Rebecca, Janet, Ginny, and John. They farmed south of Creston for a time but soon moved back to farm near Tingley with Elbert's father Joe and brother Harry. After the kids were grown Peggy became an LPN and worked at Clearview Home. In 2001, their daughter Rebecca died suddenly to a brain aneurism. After retirement, Elbert and Peggy sold the farm and moved into the town of Tingley where they lived until Elbert's death in 2012. Peggy has spent the last few years in assisted living Mount Ayr. Peggy was preceded in death by her husband Elbert, daughter Rebecca, parents Griffith and Edith, parents-in-law Joe and Josie, brothers Dwight, Hollis, Alfred, and James MOHR, sister Doris SCHOFIELD, brothers-in-law Harry, Dick, and Don SKARDA, sister-in-law Anna LINKEY.
