Honorary pallbearers were members of the Board of Directors of Westernport Revitalization, Inc., William Kenny, Donald Moran, Dr. Neil Williams, Randy Cirillo, Fred Warnick, Lacy Tinsley and Richard Harris. Boal-Warnick Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Born 12 December 1916 in Westernport, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Mills) Cowatch. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon A. Green Sr., on 14 Febriaru 1987. Mrs. Green was a restaurant owner in Westernport for 31 years. The business started as a confectionary and teen dance center and was later converted into a restaurant with banquet facilities. She was a member of St. Peter Church, Tri-Towns Soroptimist Club, the Commission for Fair and Equitable Education, the Westernport Housing Authority Board and Tri-Towns Chamber of Commerce and a former member of the board of directors of Tri-Towns Teen Town. Mrs. Green was instrumental in obtaining a grant for and organizing the Board of Directors of Westernport Revitalization, Inc. She received the Upper Potomac ‘Jaycees' Humanitarian Award, St. Peter's Community Service Award, Tri-Towns Lions Club Achievement Award, Potomac Fire Company Ladies Ausiliary Outstanding Service Award and the Junior Firemen's Community Service Award. The 1964 graduating class of Bruce High School designated its 25th reunion in her honor this year. She is survived by one son, Gordon A. Green Jr., Bloomington, Md.; one daughter Kathryn Ann Lannon, Keyser; two brothers, Joseph Cowatch, Frostburg, Md., and Francis Cowatch, Rockville, Md.; three sisters, Mrs. Ann Myers, Piedmont; Winifred Cowatch, Westernport and Mrs. Virginia McCulloh, Petersburg; four grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren."
