Born in Haywood county on April 20, 1855, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Nellie Ferguson White. She was marred in 1875 to Thomas L. Seay of Haywood county, who died in 1925. They lived in Haywood county till 1911, when they moved to Macon county, where Mrs. Seay has made her home since that time. She was a charter member of the Holly Springs Baptist church. Funeral services were held Monday at 3 p.m., at the Holly Springs Baptist church, with the Rev. W. C. Pipes officiating, assisted by the Rev. R. P. McCracken. Burial was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were E. V. Ammons, B. W. Justice, Fred Dalton, Garland Shepherd, A. G. Kinsland, and Jack Cabe. Surviving are eight children, Misses Minnie and Clarin Seay, both of Franklin, Route 4, James, Franklin, Route 1, and Arvey Seay, Franklin, Route 4; Mrs. Robert Reeves and Mrs. Marshall Messer, both of Cove Creek, and Mrs. Henry Corbin and Mrs. Frank Cabe, both of Franklin, Route 4; a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren. Potts Funeral Home, Franklin, was in charge of arrangements.
