The 1934 obituary of Margaret's cousin, John Neil, notes they were raised in the same home. The 1891 Census of Mono Township shows Margaret and her widowed father, John; his unmarried brother, Robert; his unmarried sister, Margaret; and his widowed sister, Eliza Neil and her children John, Alexander & Robert; all living in the household of 86 year old widow, Margaret Frame. Orangeville Sun/Banner, April 5, 1934 - Obituary - John F. Neil John Frame Neil, a Mono township boy, died suddenly at his home in Chicago on March 25th in his 68th year. He was the son of the late Alexander Neil and Eliza Frame, of Camilla, and was born on lot 18, Prince of Wales Road, Mono. Mr. Neil received his early education in Camilla public school and Orangeville high school. After clerking in the late John Green's general store for a couple of years, he took a course in a Toronto Business College, after which he went to Chicago and entered the service of the Singer Sewing Machine Co., as bookkeeper. Later, he started to work as an auditor, first for individuals and later for firms in Chicago and other cities. He was appointed Secretary-Treasurer of the Chicago Parks Commission, a position that he filled for many years, eventually resigning to take up auditor work for a chain of Chicago banks. This proved an unwise move as the banks failed during the depression and Mr. Neil lost his position. By his honesty, thoroughness and energy he rose to places of responsibility and prominence and was respected by all who knew him, both in his business capacity and in private life. He was one of the Auditors of the books of the Chicago Century of Progress Exposition. Mr. Neil left to mourn his demise his wife, five daughters and a son, his brother, Grant, who is seriously ill in a hospital in Minneapolis, and a cousin, Mrs. Sandy Bell, of Camilla, who was like a sister, as they had been brought up in the same home.
