Description	:	Margaret Gibson Muir was born in Zanesville, Ohio, August 7, 1853, where she grew to womanhood. At the age of 22 she came to Nebraska and was married to Andrew S. Muir September 24, 1876. To this union was born one daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Knerr, who resides near Beaver Crossing, and one son, Addison Muir, of Columbus, Nebr. Mrs. Muir resided on a farm southeast of Goehner, Nebraska until 1903. She with her husband moved to Tamora, Nebraska, at which place Mr. Muir passed away June 30, 1921. She then moved to the home of her daughter, Mrs. Howard Knerr, where... Read More	Margaret Gibson Muir was born in Zanesville, Ohio, August 7, 1853, where she grew to womanhood. At the age of 22 she came to Nebraska and was married to Andrew S. Muir September 24, 1876. To this union was born one daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Knerr, who resides near Beaver Crossing, and one son, Addison Muir, of Columbus, Nebr. Mrs. Muir resided on a farm southeast of Goehner, Nebraska until 1903. She with her husband moved to Tamora, Nebraska, at which place Mr. Muir passed away June 30, 1921. She then moved to the home of her daughter, Mrs. Howard Knerr, where she resided until her death at the age of 76 years, 8 months and 20 days. She was a Christian from early childhood and on moving to Tamora in 1903, united with the Presbyterian church there. After the church was destroyed by fire she transferred her membership to the Presbyterian church at Seward. Her beautiful life of patience and her ringing testimonies to the saving power of God and her godly example will be remembered long by those who knew her. Her end was one of triumph and victory. She leaves behind, one sister, Mrs. Mary Miller, of Oakland, California; two children, two grandchildren, one great grandchild, and a number of nieces and nephews, besides a host of friends.
