Msgr. Helmbrecht officiating at the burial. Mrs. Abler was born to Mary Jackels and John Hoffman on July 28th in Woodville, Wisc., in 1884, the family moved to Spink County later on a farm seven miles south of Hoven. She was married to Carl Abler November 19, 1903, and moved on the groom's farm a mile west of Hoven where they lived up to the time... Mrs. Abler was born to Mary Jackels and John Hoffman on July 28th in Woodville, Wisc., in 1884, the family moved to Spink County later on a farm seven miles south of Hoven. She was married to Carl Abler November 19, 1903, and moved on the groom's farm a mile west of Hoven where they lived up to the time of here sudden death, October 2nd, 1943. Eight children were born to this union, Martin, Mary, Sgt. Albert, Sgt. Henry, Ed, Walter, 3 children preceded here in death, Carletta and Thomas died in their youth and Walter, November 19, 1942. She also leaves here sister and brothers, Tony of Oakland, Tena of Manitawac, Wisc., Peter, Anna, Mrs. Mike Arbach, Rose, Mrs. Mike M. Arbach, Mary, Mrs. Benneth, and Henry, 3 brothers, John, Nick and Albert proceeded here in death. Albert died about a month ago. She was a member of both Christian Mothers and Lay Foresters. Pallbearers were, 3 members of the Christian Mothers and 3 members of the Lady Foresters. Members of the Christian Mothers were Mrs. Math Arbach, Mrs. Wm. Baus and Mrs. M. M. Kaiser. Members of the Lady Foresters, Mrs. Fred Duenwald Mrs. Mike Goebel and Mrs. Jake Lunders, Both societies attended in a body. Active pallbearers were: Leo Arbach, Jake Van Well, Alfred Herricks, Victor William and Paul Arbach and Jimmy Hoffman was cross bearer. Out of town relatives at the funeral were Sgt. Albert Abler, Los Angeles, and his wife of Royle, Iowa, Sgt. Henry Abler, Fort Ord, Calif., Mary Abler, Oakland, Calif. Peter C, Abler, Huron, Nick J. Meyer of FonDuLac, Wisc., Mrs. Katie Morgen, Mr. Peter Wickard, Lebanon, one brother, Tony, and one sister, Tena, of Manitawac, Wisc. were unable to come.
