Three daughters preceded her in death. Funeral services Friday a.m. 9 o'clock at St. Mary's church with Rev. Bernard J. Decker of Ottumwa, a nephew, officiating. She was born Nov. 17, 1861, in Pleasant Ridge township, but moved to Ft. Madison 47 years ago. She was married to Anton Helling, June 16, 1885 at St. Mary's Catholic church in Fort Madison. Mrs. Helling was also a member of the Rosary society of St. Mary's church. She is survived by her husband, two sons, Theodore A. Helling and Fred H. Helling of Eldorado, Kans., one daughter: Mrs. Carl Auge of Fort Madison, one brother: Stephen Krogmeier, of Fort Madison, two sisters: Mrs. Catherine Decker of this city and Mrs. Joe Winnike of West Point, and seven grandchildren.
