Margaret was born June 27, 1928 in Nebraska City, NE to Robert and Mary (Parmenter) McClain. She grew up in Nebraska City, Omaha and in the State of Washington. Jensen, 87 years, of Fremont, NE died Sunday, August 30, 2015 at Birchwood Manor in North Bend, NE. Margaret was born June 27, 1928 in Nebraska City, NE to Robert and Mary (Parmenter) McClain. She grew up in Nebraska City, Omaha and in the State of Washington. She was a 1945 graduate of Silver Dale High School in Silver Dale, WA. She moved to North Bend in 1955 and then moved to Fremont in 1978. She was employed as a bookkeeper and office manager for Hansen Refrigerated Movements, a trucking company and for Associated Business Managements, parent company of Credit Bureau Services. Margaret married Merle D. Jensen on October 10, 1987 in Fremont. Merle died May 16, 1999. Margaret was a member of the Fremont Presbyterian Church and former member of the United Presbyterian Church at North Bend; and was a church deacon for many years. She also belonged to the Stephens Ministry at church and taught Sunday School and Bible School and was a Youth Group Table Parent. She was a member of the Fremont Community Players, volunteered at the Fremont Crisis Center and was active in a grief support group. She was a member of Ruth Chapter 119, Order of Eastern Star at North Bend and was a past Worthy Matron. Margaret was also a foster grandparent at Milliken Park School. Margaret loved children. She was passionate about all the children she was involved with through church and school. She was an active supporter of the North Bend Swim Team and enjoyed attending her children and grandchildren's events. She also had a passion for dolls, antiques and jewelry. Margaret never met a stranger, everyone was a friend. She is survived by sons, Cary(Kathy)Lodl of Scribner, NE and Kevin(Marge)Lodl of Morse Bluff, NE; daughters, Robyn(Gary)Peterson of Hot Springs, S.D., Allison (Paul) Potadle of Tekamah, NE and Shelley(Wayde)Bang of North Bend, NE; step-sons, Duane(Veronica)Jensen of Omaha and Dr. Darin(Lola)Jensen of Wichita, KS; step-daughter, Denise(Dan)Skeels of Lawrenceville, GA; 25 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Funeral service will be 10:30 AM, Friday, September 4, 2015 at the United Presbyterian Church in North Bend, NE. The Rev. Michael Hill will officiate. An Order of Eastern Star Service will be held at 7 PM, on Thursday, at Moser Memorial Chapel in North Bend, NE. Visitation is from 4 PM to 8 PM with the family receiving friends from 6 PM to 8 PM all at the funeral home. Visitation on Friday at church 1 hr prior to service. Burial at Wyuka Cemetery in Nebraska City, NE at approximately 2:15 PM on Friday. Memorials may be given to the Fremont Crisis Center and to the Fremont Presbyterian Church Youth Group."
