She was 91 years old. Mrs. McQuirk was born in Sutherland, England, in 1828. She was married to James McQuirk in 1844 and sailed for America in the same year, landing at New York. They came to Sioux City by ox team in 1858. In 1860 they moved to Dyersville, Ia., where they made their home until the death of Mr. McQuirk In 1892. Mrs. McQuirk then came to Sioux City, and since that time, has made her home with her daughter, Mrs. A. M. Reeves. Mrs. McQuirk is survived by two sons, Thomas McQuirk of Ponca City, Okla., and James McQuirk of Walla Walla, Wash., and four daughters, Mrs. Reeves, Mrs. Mary Culligan and Mrs. A. J. Lord, all of Sioux City, and Mrs. E. Whiting of Dyersville. Funeral services will be held tomorrow morning at 9 o’clock from St. Joseph’s church. Burial will be in Mount Calvary cemetery.
