In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Sioux Center Hospital for the purchase of a BiPAP (bilevel positive air pressure) machine so other families can spend time with loved ones at their local hospital. Margaret "Mike" Erickson was born September 7th, 1936 at Sioux Center, IA the child of Fred Cleveringa and Fanny (Schut) Cleveringa. She grew up in Sioux Center where she attended Sioux Center High School and graduated in 1954. Mike, as she became known, was united in marriage to Lee Erickson on August 7th, 1965 in First Reformed Church at Sioux Center. They made their home in Sioux Center, IA. She was an avid bowler and dedicated bowling secretary for numerous years and she enjoyed traveling to numerous bowling tournaments. She was a member of the Women's Bowling Association. She was also a dedicated employee at Co-op Gas and Oil. Mike loved visiting with family and seeing her grandchildren in her later years. Margaret is survived by her husband, Lee Erickson; sons, Brian (Jodi) Erickson of Kenyon, MN; Scott Erickson of Sioux Center, IA; grandsons, Benjamin and Samuel and granddaughter, Ruthann of Kenyon, MN; brothers, John (Marjorie) Cleveringa of Sioux Center, IA; Garold (Chris) Cleveringa of Sioux Center, IA; sisters, Wilma Kraayenbrink of Sioux Center, IA, Frances (Tunis) Vollink of Hull, IA; sister-in-law Theresa Cleveringa of Sioux Center, IA. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Nelson Cleveringa; brother, Tunis Cleveringa; sister-in-law, Ila Cleveringa; and brother-in-law, Harry Kraayenbrink.
