Description	:	Mrs. Margaret Minerva Brown, 95, formerly of Brunswick and Frederick, died Thursday, April 10, at Homewood at Crumland Farms, Frederick, where she had lived after moving from her Brooklawn apartment. She was the wife of Frederick James Brown Sr., who died March 21, 1983. Born June 9, 1907, at Toms Plantation, near Wolfsville, she was a daughter of the late William Toms and Anna Mae Buhrman Toms. Read More	Mrs. Margaret Minerva Brown, 95, formerly of Brunswick and Frederick, died Thursday, April 10, at Homewood at Crumland Farms, Frederick, where she had lived after moving from her Brooklawn apartment. She was the wife of Frederick James Brown Sr., who died March 21, 1983. Born June 9, 1907, at Toms Plantation, near Wolfsville, she was a daughter of the late William Toms and Anna Mae Buhrman Toms. Mrs. Brown was a homemaker. She had been a member of Bethany Lutheran Church, Brunswick, since 1926. In her earlier years, she was a member of the church's Mite Society. Mrs. Brown was a member of Brunswick Chapter 97, Order of the Eastern Star, now merged with Frederick Chapter 79. During World War II, she was active in the Brunswick chapter of the American Red Cross, where she volunteered many hours of service. She was an avid bridge player and a member of bridge clubs in Brunswick, where she lived from the time of her marriage in 1926, until she and her husband moved to Frederick in 1971. She continued to enjoy card games with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren until a few years before her death. Surviving are one son, Dr. Frederick J. Brown Jr. and wife Mary Frances of Sebring, Fla.; two grandsons, Eric Hastings Brown and wife Debra of Mount Pleasant, S.C., and Richard Parker Brown and wife Kimberly of Frederick; two stepgrandchildren, John Sheehan of Towson, and Robert Allen Earhart and wife Kelley of Columbus, Ga.; five great-grandchildren, Erica N. Brown and Inga E. Brown, both of Mount Pleasant, S.C., Tracey Sheehan of Homestead, Fla., John Sheehan of Towson, and Sean Earhart of Columbus; and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by three sisters, Mae Bidle, Letha Grace Bishop and Minnie Ray Routzahn; three brothers, Ralph, Donald and Leroy Toms; a grandson, Jonathan Emmett Brown; and a stepgranddaughter, Barbara Earhart Sheehan. Private graveside services and interment will be held at the convenience of the family in Park Heights Cemetery, Brunswick.
