She was born near Blue Grass, Va. on March 11, 1873 and died September 30, 1952, at University Hospital, Charlottesville, Va. Her entire life was lived at or near her ancestral home. She united with the Methodist Church when thirteen years of age, and remained a faithful member as long as her health permitted. Read More	Highland Recorder October 17, 1952 Mrs. Margaret Newman Mullenax, daughter of the late Andrew T. and Sarah Rymer Newman. She was born near Blue Grass, Va. on March 11, 1873 and died September 30, 1952, at University Hospital, Charlottesville, Va. Her entire life was lived at or near her ancestral home. She united with the Methodist Church when thirteen years of age, and remained a faithful member as long as her health permitted. Though a shut-in for many years, she was always kind, meek and patient. Her unassuming and quiet manner won many friends among the people of the community. She was united in marriage with Salisbury Mullenax, who preceded her in death fifteen years. To this union seven children were born, four daughters and three sons. Six of whom mourn her loss. They are: Mrs Don Newcomb, Cave, W. Va., Mrs. Raymond Burke, Falls Church, Va., Mrs. Elmer Sowers, Washington. D.C. Miss Sallie Mullenax. Blue Grass, Va., Bunker Mullenax, Augusta, W. Va., and Thomas Mullenax Monterey, Va. A son, Andrew Mullenax, preceded her in death. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Friday, October 3, at two o'clock in New Church by her pastor, the Rev. P. N. Moore. Interment was made in the Blue Grass Cemetery.
