Read More	Winfield Daily Courier Winfield, Kansas Monday, January 12, 1920 page 4 Deaths Drauden - Mrs. Henry Drauden, wife of one of the well known farmers of Beaver township died at the home three miles southwest of Winfield Monday morning a few minutes before ten o'clock after an illness of two days. An abcess in the throat was the cause of death. Mrs. Drauden was a fine type of womanhood highly honored by all who knew her. Her cheerful and happy disposition and sympathetic manner gained her many warm and steadfast friends who feel a personal loss in her death. She was a loving wife and a kind and devoted mother and her sudden death is a distinct shock and irreparable loss to the husband and children who survive. She was a very devout Catholic and a regular attendant at church and always gave generously of her time in all church activities. She was greatly interested in community work, especially in the Farmer's institute, working for the betterment of rural life. Margaret Rausch was born in Will County, Illinois 45 years ago. She was married to Henry Drauden and thirteen years ago came to Kansas locating southwest of Winfield. Besides her husband she leaves three daughters and two sons, Mrs. Arthur Bonnewell of Winfield, Helena Margaret, Mike and Henry Fred at home. Three brothers and three sisters, also survive. Frank Rausch, Effie Rausch and Mrs. Lucy O'Toole all of Plainfield, Illinois, John and Tony Rausch of Winfield and Mrs. Barbara Overman of Chicago, Illinois. The funeral arrangements will not be made until word is received from relatives at a distance. (transcribed by Judy Mayfield)
