Read More	Coon Rapids Enterprise October 5, 1906 Little Margaret, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. B. Williams, died Saturday afternoon, September 29th, at the age of four years, four months, and 18 days. About a year ago she was stricken with scarlet fever and for 10 weeks she struggled with that dreadful disease, a greater part of the time of which her little life was held by a thread. She finally recovered from all effects of the disease, apparently, with the exception of her hearing, which was a little defective. About 10 days before her death she commenced to complain of a pain around her ear. The pain had become so acute that a physician was called for and upon examination he found her suffering from an abscess on the mastoid bone. The only hope for her relief and recovery lay in having an operation performed, which was readily consented to and Wednesday morning she was taken to the operating rooms where the work was skillfully done. It gave her much relief and they had all hopes of her recovery until Friday morning when her fever began to raise and from that time on she grew rapidly worse until Saturday evening when her immortal spirit slipped peacefully out of her tired little body and winged it's way to that land that is fairer than day, where sickness and sorrow are unknown and where death never comes. She was a very bright and active child. Her sweet and loving disposition made her a favourite with everyone. She made the remark to her mamma not long ago, when speaking of Heaven, that she wished she had wings and could fly to Jesus. Today that wishes fulfilled and she is safe in the arms of the One, whom with her childish little heart she had always loved so well. Margaret will be greatly missed as she was the joy in light of the home, and sad indeed it will be bereft of her cheering appearance. The funeral services were held from the home Sunday afternoon at 3, conducted by the pastor, Rev. A. W. Harned. He preached a very comforting serve using this text. For none of us liveth to himself and no man dieth himself. The quartet consisting of Mrs. M. C. Mitchell, Mrs. Rickerson, V. M. Johnson and Mrs. G. S. Mitchell sang the following songs all selected by the mother. Let the Little Ones Come Unto Me, Precious Jewels and What a Friend we have in Jesus. The flowers were very beautiful and numerous, showing the love and sympathy of kind friends. The pallbearers were young ladies, namely, Fern Johnson, Bonnie Bowman, Edith Anderson and Lucille Schell, all of whom were dressed in white. The out-of-town relatives and attendance were Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Hull of Bayard, Miss Stella Hull of Indianola, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Jones of Guthrie Center and Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Brock of Bayard. The bereaved family have the sympathy of everyone in their hour of sadness. God grant that they may be blessed and inspired by the memory of this little one.
