She later completed her GED at Lincoln East High School in Lincoln, Nebraska. On March 4, 1951, Margarete was united in marriage to Harrison Henry Fehr in Sutton, Nebraska. They became the parents of two children, Kent and Carol. She worked at Lincoln Public Schools cafeterias, Hinky Dinky and Ideal Grocery Stores Deli Counters and Campbell's Nursery. She was an active member of Faith Lutheran Church of Lincoln, Nebraska. She was a dedicated wife who loved her husband, children, grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. She was Aunt to 23 nieces and nephews on her side of the family, and Aunt to 27 nieces and nephews on Harrison's side of the family. She was a Great Aunt to numerous and Great Great Aunt to many. She loved carpentry, electronics, cooking and baking, and working outdoors. She enjoyed watching sports, with basketball as her favorite. She devoted her life to her family by providing a tremendous amount of love, kindness and generosity. She lived life to the fullest and her spirit and smile will live forever in the lives of her children and grandchildren. Margarete died on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at Havelock Manor in Lincoln, Nebraska, having attained the age of eighty-four years, one day short of her 85th birthday. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Harold, Wilbert, John and Gerard and sister Eunice, and she is survived by her older sister Lenora (Denver, CO) and her younger sister Minetta (Scottsbluff, NE). She is survived by her husband of sixty-two years Harrison Fehr of Lincoln, Nebraska and children, Kent and his wife Lori Fehr of Omaha, Nebraska and Carol and her husband Gary Davis of Dallas, Texas; and grandchildren Grant and Andrew Fehr of Lincoln and Sheridan Davis of Los Angeles, California and Connor Davis of Charlottesville, Virginia. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday (4/3/13) at Butherus, Maser & Love Funeral Home, 4040 A Street, with the Rev. Brad Beckman officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday (4/2/13) from 10 am-8 pm with family present from 7-8 pm and from 1-2 pm with family before Margarete's service on Wednesday at Butherus, Maser & Love FH. Interment will be held in Fairview Cemetery following the service and reception.
