Description	:	Mrs. Margaret Schuett Hollander, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Schuett, was born March 10, 1868 in Hanover, Germany. At the age of three years she came to America with her parents and settled first in Pittsburg, Penn. Two years later they came to Iowa and settled in Sioux County, on the farm now occupied by J.H. Schuett. At first the family lived in a sod house. On March 11, 1888, she was married to I Christian Hollander. To this union five children were born. Read More	Mrs. Margaret Schuett Hollander, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Schuett, was born March 10, 1868 in Hanover, Germany. At the age of three years she came to America with her parents and settled first in Pittsburg, Penn. Two years later they came to Iowa and settled in Sioux County, on the farm now occupied by J.H. Schuett. At first the family lived in a sod house. On March 11, 1888, she was married to I Christian Hollander. To this union five children were born. They lived on a farm until 1912, when they moved to Sheldon, but soon moved back to the farm in 1914. On February 25, 1919, her husband passed away, and she with her children continued farming until she moved to Hull in 1930. About two months ago she fell and broke her hip. She was taken to the Lutheran Hospital in Sioux City and later to the Sioux Center hospital at where she died April 14, 1952, at the age of 84 years, 1 month and 4 days. She leaves to mourn her passing her five children: (Kate) Mrs. Wm Schoeneman of Ward, South Dakota; John of Boyden; (Emma) Mrs. Richard Schoeneman of Ihlen, Minn.; William and Fred of Boyden; 16 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren. Two brothers, J.H. Schuett of Hull and Herman Schuett of Boyden; one sister, Mrs. John Hollander of Doon, besides many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held on Friday, April 13, 1952, at 1:30 from the home and 2 o'clock from the St. Paul's Lutheran church. Services were in charge of her pastor, Rev. Wm. Meinen. His text was from Philippians 1: 21. “For to me life is Christ and to die is gain." The Helping Hand Society sang two numbers, "Asleep in Jesus" and "Rock of Ages." Pall bearers were her grandsons: Chris Schoeneman, Albert Schoeneman, Erwin Schoeneman, Ernest Hollander, John R. Hollander and Gerald Hollander. Interment was in St. Paul's Lutheran cemetery. Mrs. Otto Goeringer and Mrs. Ewald Goeringer had charge of the floral offerings and many memorial gifts were received from relatives and friends. Sioux Center News 1952-04-24.
