Description	:	MRS. MARGARET JESS DIES IN OMAK HOSPITAL JAN. 28TH Mrs. Margaeret K Jess, pioneer resident of the Pateros area, died Wednesday morning, January 28, at the hospital in Omak. She had her hip broken in a fall at the Herb Jess residence where she made her home and was taken to the hospital on her 74th birthday, January 17th. At the hospital she developed euremic poisoning which caused her death. MARGARET JESS DIES IN OMAK HOSPITAL JAN. 28TH Mrs. Margaeret K Jess, pioneer resident of the Pateros area, died Wednesday morning, January 28, at the hospital in Omak. She had her hip broken in a fall at the Herb Jess residence where she made her home and was taken to the hospital on her 74th birthday, January 17th. At the hospital she developed euremic poisoning which caused her death. Margaret Keisling was born in Germany, January 17, 1874, and came to this country with her parents when she was four years of age. They settled at Holstein, Iowa, where she grew to womanhood. She was marred to Peter H Jess in 1893 and they moved from Holstein to Madison, SD. They came to Pateros in 1905 and have resided there since. Mr. Jess passed on in 1942. Eight children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Jess and all survive besides a son Otto Jess, who was accidentally shot in 1944. Three sons, Fred Karl, and Herb Jess, all live near Pateros, a daughter, Mrs. Nina Brott, Oroville, a daughter, Mrs. Frances O'Leary of Wenatchee, a son Rheinert Jess of Wenatchee and a daughter, Mrs. Fannie Meredith of Ardenvoir. Also twenty-three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and two brothers, John and Bill Keisling of Holstein, Iowa. Funeral services will be held at the Pateros Church of Christ, Saturday afternoon at 2 pm. Pearne Smith Funeral home of Pateros is in charge of arrangements.
