Mrs. avant was born January 10, 1932, in Georgetown County, a daughter of the late Jerimiah "Jerry" Lambert and the late Agnes Miller Lambert. Mrs. Avant attended Ringel Heights Baptist Church. She worked with the Salvation Army. She was survived by three children, Teresa (Buck) Odum of Georgetown, Tony D. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, and two brothers, Kenneth Lambert and Creel Lavern "Ravon" Lambert. Funeral services, with the Rev. Tommy Cox officiating, were Saturday, June 30, 2012, at Maryville Pentecostal Holiness Church. Burial, directed by Graham Funeral Home, followed in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.
