Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 28, in Holly Hill United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jerry Phillips officiating. Burial will be in the Eutawville Cemetery. The casket will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. Pallbearers will be Melvin Kemmerlin, Jim Jeffers, Don Bilton, Donnie Boyd, Gene Bilton and Larry Bilton. The casket will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. Pallbearers will be Melvin Kemmerlin, Jim Jeffers, Don Bilton, Donnie Boyd, Gene Bilton and Larry Bilton. Mrs. Bilton was born in Augusta, Ga., a daughter of the late Rev. John B. Merritt and Mamie Beatrice Garner Merritt. She was a retired bookkeeper from Boyd Furniture and was a member of Holly Hill United Methodist Church. She was the widow of J. D. Bilton and was preceded in death by daughters, Janet B. Metts and Barbara B. Parler; and a son, John Denver 'Bubba' Bilton. Survivors include daughters, Billie B. Boyd and Cynthia Cox, both of Holly Hill; a son-in-law, Gene Boyd, of Holly Hill; a sister, Edna Sikes, of Augusta; grandchildren, Sonny and Kelly Metts, DeDe and Pedie Bolt, Sandy and Randy Brown, Laura and Stan Vause, Aprile and Michael Chapman, Russ Boyd, Jeni Barbero, and Candace Baker; and 12 great-grandchildren. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Avinger Funeral Home and other times at the residence. Memorials may be made to Holly Hill United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 398, Holly Hill SC 29059.
