Read More	KNOX, Margot Lees - It is with great sadness that the family of Margot Lees Knox, 83, of Halifax, announce her passing on Sunday, August 23, 2009, in QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax. Born in Bridgewater, she was a daughter of the late Mervin and Ruth (Wagner) Knox. Margot was stationed at H.M.C.S. Cornwallis during the Second World War. She graduated from Mount Allison University in 1949 with a degree in Dietetics. She was trained at Royal Victoria Hospital in Montreal, Que., and the former Victoria General Hospital in Halifax. Margot worked as a Dietician with Oshawa General Hospital for over 40 years and returned to Halifax upon retirement in 1995. Margot was an active member of Grace Lutheran Church in Oshawa and attended the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection in Halifax. Margot was a music lover. She faithfully attended Symphony Nova Scotia, played the violin in local orchestras and was a member of Women for Music. Margot also taught Adult Literacy for many years and volunteered with the Society of Deaf and Hard of Hearing Nova Scotians. Besides her parents, she was also predeceased by her sister, Kathryn; brother, Thomas; nephew, Brian and niece, Nicole. She is survived by sisters, Betty (Aubrey) Nickerson, Joan (Graham) Powell and brother, Richard (Sylvia) Knox. Margot was a kind, loving woman who was genuinely generous, caring and compassionate. Margot was a woman who truly believed in the goodness of others and who lived unaware of her own grace. Margot will be deeply missed. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, 11213 Hwy No. 3, Lunenburg, N.S. A graveside committal service to celebrate Margot's life will be held on Thursday, August 27, at 11 a.m., with Rev. Vivian Moores officiating in Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater.
