Franklin A Tucker Andrew Robb Davison --------------- DIED DAVISON - At the house of her daughter, Mrs. W. W. Paton in Milford, Sept. 3, 1895, in the 76th year of her life. Margaret Robb was born in Edinburgh, Scotland, July 5, 1820; united in marriage with John Skirving, March 31, 1841. This union was blessed with six children-two sons and four daughters-five of whom were born in Scotland and one after emigrating to this country in 1852. The family settled in Wisconsin. Near the close of the year 1854, death claimed as his victim the beloved husband and father, John Skirving, and his body was consigned to the earth on New Year's day, 1855. After a widowhood of nearly three years, she married Christopher Davison- a son and a daughter being the fruits of this union. In 1864 the family emigrated to Iowa, and settled in this county. On Aug. 9, 1890, she was again left a widow, and since then she lived with her children in Milford. For the many months had been a suffer, being confined to her bed most of the time; yet, her great vitality kept her alive till she was wasted away from a robust woman to a mere skeleton. During the whole of her lingering sickness she has been nursed by two daughters, Tena and Marion, and all that gentle hands and loving care, with skillful, medical treatment could do for her has been done. She leaves three sons and four daughters to mourn her loss, and the heartfelt sympathy of the entire community goes out to them in their bereavement. Funeral services will be held at the late home, W. W. Paton's, Friday forenoon, and the body laid away in Okoboji Cemetery. The Milford Mail, Sept. 5, 1895 --------------- Margaret Davidson died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W. W. Paton, in Milford on September 3rd, in her 76th year. The deceased has been a resident of the county more than 20 years, and is sincerely mourned by a large circle of friends. Born in Scotland in 1820, married to John Skirving in 1841, emmigrated to this country in 1852, widowed in 1854, married to Christopher Davidson in 1857, came to this county in 1864, widowed a second time in 1890-these are the leading events in a long and useful life.
