Description	:	Marguerite Mary Marge Schaefer died of cancer on Friday, July 29, 2011 at Avera Prince of Peace Nursing Home in Sioux Falls. Services will be 1:30 PM Friday, August 5 at George Boom Funeral Home, Sioux Falls, where viewing and visitation with the family present will be one hour prior to the funeral. Marge was born to Anton and Rose (Brueggeman) Schaefer on their farm near Orient, SD on November 30, 1919. She attended Polo School before going on to Bobette Beauty School in Aberdeen, SD. She worked as a beautician in Sisseton, SD starting in 1939. Her sister, Eva, lived there with Marge as a teacher for two years. Marge moved to Sioux Falls, SD in 1942. She worked for several businesses through the years. These included the Central Electric and Telephone Company, McKennan Hospital, Northwest National Life Insurance and Howalt-McDowell Insurance. Marge was working at LeMars Mutual when she retired in 1966. She then cared for both of her parents for years until their deaths. Marge was the favorite aunt of her nieces and nephews. She was fun-loving and enjoyed a good joke. In her later years she was appreciative of visits, outings and holidays with family. Marge was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters, Eva Riner, Catherine Oligmueller, Madlyn Pilch and Blanche Houck; a niece, Diane Riner; and a nephew, Robert Oligmueller.
