Mrs. Shuler was born in Greenwood County SC, a daughter of the late Cleveland Ouzts and Eliza Timmerman Ouzts. She was a graduate of Lander College and a retired school teacher. She was a member of the Providence United Methodist Church where she was a former member and director of the choir, United Methodist Women and a Sunday School teacher for ten years. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. She was the widow of Abram M. "Abe" Shuler. Surviving are sons, A. Manning Shuler, Jr. of Holly Hill and Dr. Kenneth C. Shuler of Mt. Pleasant; a sister, Mrs. Martha Kaczor of Summerville; grandchildren, Sonya Shuler Crider and Elliott M. Shuler both of Holly Hill, Mary Marguerite "Meg" Shuler of Columbia, Dr. Kenneth C. Shuler, Jr. of Vance, and Dr. Kevin E. Shuler of Mt. Pleasant; great-grandchildren, Cindy, Kayla, and Ashley Crider all of Holly Hill, Charlotte Shuler of Holly Hill, and Savannah Shuler of Vance.
