Twigg, resident of Scott County for 75 years died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. H.C. Stecher of Pleasant Prairie, Tuesday afternoon at 3:20, after a short illness, death being due to infirmities of old age. She was born in Holmes County, Ohio, Sept. 8, 1841, and with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. A. McGarvey, came to Scott County in 1847. Her marriage to James L. Twigg took place on March 17, 1870. Those who survive are three sons, William R. Twigg of McCausland, Charles T. of Jamestown, Ia., and Joe L. of Denver; one daughter, Mrs. Clara Stecher of Pleasant Prairie; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. Mary E. Pringle of Keota and Mrs. Helen Cotes of Blue Grass. The funeral will be held at the house of Mrs. H.C. Stecher in Pleasant Prairie, Thursday afternoon at 1 o'clock with services at 2 o'clock at the Blue Grass Church. Interment will be in Blue Grass Cemetery.
