Description	:	Maria was the daughter of Thomas and Jane Fisher from Belfast. Her siblings were Thomas, John, and Jane (Gayton). She married Robert McLean at May Street Presbyterian Church, Belfast on April 7, 1852. They migrated to Canada in 1855 and homesteaded near Annan, Ontario. McLean: One of the early settlers of the Township of Sydenham died last week in the person of Mrs. Robert McLean, who passed away on Monday, 16th inst., at her home, Concession b. She was born in Belfast, Ireland, in 1825, and in 1855 came to Canada with her husband. They came at once to Sydenham and settled on a farm on the Lake Shore line near Annan, where they lived for a few years. After the death of her husband in 1869 Mrs. McLean moved to the Sixth Line where she resided until her death. Her demise was the result of old age. The funeral took place on the 18th, to Annan cemetery. She leaves five sons - John, of Lockwood, Sask., Robert, of Owen Sound; Martin, of West Superior, Wis., James of Kansas City, Kas., and Thomas of Sydenham - and three daughters- Mrs. John Ryan, Toledo, Ohio; Mrs. Alf. Brown, Barrow Bay, Ont., and Mrs. M. E. Boddy, Sydenham. Two brothers, Messrs. John Fisher, of Chicago, Ill., and Thomas Fisher, of Belfast, and one sister. Mrs. Gaton of Belfast, also survive.
