Description	:	Mrs. Luschen Dies Mrs. Garrett Luschen, of Pipestone Minn., died Saturday, February 6, at a local hospital following an operation undertaken to prevent the spread of infection. Mrs. Luschen underwent an operation two years ago at a hospital in Slayton, Minn., for an internal malady and had never regained her normal health. The deceased was born in Preston township August 14, 1878. Her maiden name was Mary Louise and she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Siefke Bohlken, pioneer settlers there. Read More	Mrs. Luschen Dies Mrs. Garrett Luschen, of Pipestone Minn., died Saturday, February 6, at a local hospital following an operation undertaken to prevent the spread of infection. Mrs. Luschen underwent an operation two years ago at a hospital in Slayton, Minn., for an internal malady and had never regained her normal health. The deceased was born in Preston township August 14, 1878. Her maiden name was Mary Louise and she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Siefke Bohlken, pioneer settlers there. Mr. Bohlken is a resident of LeMars. The mother died some years ago. Mary Louise was raised and educated in Preston township, attending the country school and assisting in the work on the farm. She was united in marriage with Garrett Luschen, March 17, 1904, and they farmed in this county for several years and then moved to Pipestone county, Minnesota, where they farmed and later moved into the town of Pipestone. Her death is mourned by her husband, children and a large number of relatives and friends. The children are, Mrs. Will Koopman, Henry, Clifford, Walter and Elaine. She is also survived by her father, Siefke Bohlken, of this city, four sisters and five brothers, who are Mrs. Ed Ahlrichs, of LeMars; Mrs. Mert Gabel, of Akron; Mrs. Will Gaudian, of Sioux City; Mrs. I. A. Salberg, of LeMars; John Bohlken, of Ireton; Dick and Will, of Akron; George Bohlken, of Estelline, S.D.; and Albert Bohlken, of Lisbon, N.D. Mrs. Luschen came from Pipestone, Minn., January 16, to help her father celebrate his eighieth birthday, when a big family reunion was held. While visiting here she was taken sick and when her condition became worse was taken to a hospital for treatment. The funeral services will be held this afternoon at St. Paul's church at 2 p.m., Rev. Wm Belling, the pastor, officiating and the interment will be made in the city cemetery. The pall bearers are friends and neighbors of the family and will be Frank Gabel, Henry Collman, John Jacobs, John Borchers, Frank Frederich and Henry Buehre.
