Description	:	Mrs. Maria Simmons Lowe, 89, of Boiling Springs passed away on Friday, November 7, 2014 at Regional Hospice Home. She was the widow of Charles W. Lowe. Mrs. Lowe was a native of Spartanburg County and a daughter of the late William Carey and Thelma Foster Simmons of New Prospect. She was a member of Boiling Springs First Baptist Church and had attended there for over 50 years. She was a graduate of Cecil’s Business School and had worked at Boiling Springs Baptist Church and Boiling Springs Elementary school for many years before retiring. She was a devoted wife, mother,... Read More	Mrs. Maria Simmons Lowe, 89, of Boiling Springs passed away on Friday, November 7, 2014 at Regional Hospice Home. She was the widow of Charles W. Lowe. Mrs. Lowe was a native of Spartanburg County and a daughter of the late William Carey and Thelma Foster Simmons of New Prospect. She was a member of Boiling Springs First Baptist Church and had attended there for over 50 years. She was a graduate of Cecil’s Business School and had worked at Boiling Springs Baptist Church and Boiling Springs Elementary school for many years before retiring. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and will be sorely missed by her family and friends. She is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law: Chuck Lowe and special friend, Deann of Spartanburg, Mike and Teresa Lowe also of Spartanburg; brothers and sisters-in-law: Paul and Gail Simmons of Spring Lake, NC, W C. and Connie Simmons of Norwalk, CA; sisters and brothers-in-law: Jean Simmons of New Prospect, Dot and Buddy Garrett of Spartanburg, Ellen and Gary Cogdill of Columbia, SC; five grandchildren: Trey (Jessica) Lowe, Meagan (Buck) Vaughn, Caitlin Lowe, Brooke Tinsley, Amber (Heath) McGraw; great grandchildren: Wells Vaughn and Addy McGraw. Visitation will be held from 11:00 am to 1:30 pm on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at Eggers Funeral Home of Boiling Springs. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Boiling Springs First Baptist Church officiated by Dr. Hank Williams. Interment will be in New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Boiling Springs First Baptist Church, 3600 Boiling Springs Road, Boiling Springs, SC 29316. The family will be at their respective homes.
