Description	:	Marian Ann Sappington, 80, of Helena died on June 13, 2008, at the Rocky Mountain Care Center after a short illness. She touched many lives and will be greatly missed. She was the second child born to George and Isabel Lasich on June 9, 1928, in Deer Lodge. The Lasich family later moved and settled in Twin Bridges and ran a farming and ranching operation. She touched many lives and will be greatly missed. She was the second child born to George and Isabel Lasich on June 9, 1928, in Deer Lodge. The Lasich family later moved and settled in Twin Bridges and ran a farming and ranching operation. Marian graduated from Twin Bridges High School in 1947 and remained on the family farm until her marriage to George C. Broksle on Oct. 19, 1949. The couple ran their own farming and ranching operation in Twin Bridges until George's death in 1969. She sold the family farm and settled in Twin Bridges, where she owned and operated a restaurant. She married Oliver H. Sappington in 1975. She attended nursing school in Butte and attained her LPN license. She worked for many years at the Madison County Nursing Home in Sheridan and retired in 1990. Oliver passed away in May 2000 in Kalispell. Marian moved to Helena in 1999 and resided at the Eagles Manor, where she spent many happy times playing pinochle and bingo, crocheting and visiting friends. She was a lifelong member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and Royal Neighbors. Marian was preceded in death by her brother in October 1927, her father in November 1963 and hermother in June 1985. She is survived by her son, George Broksle of Twin Bridges, and daughter-in-law, Sandy Svoboda of Dillon; daughter, Louise Broksle Ross of East Helena, and son-in-law, Jim Ross of Butte; granddaughters, Desiree (Patrick) Navarro of Oceanside, Calif., and Fallon (Stephen) Stanton of Thanseuss, Germany; stepchildren, Tad Sappington of Boulder and children Mary Lou, Heather and Heath; Sandy (Randy) Hedges of Kalispell and children Amber, Kendra, Kirsten and Kalli, Sharon Zahn of Kalispell and children Tiffany and Zeb, and Terry (Gerry) Klinich of Rootsville, Wash.; and 11 great-grandchildren.
