Read More	* IN LOVING MEMORY OF * Marian Margaret Anna (Hirsch) Hoerman was born on Saturday; June 23, 1928, on her parent's farm east of Clarksville; Butler County, Iowa. She was the daughter of: Eldon and Anna (Wedeking) Hirsch. Marian received her education and graduated from the Clarksville High School in 1946. On Friday; October 19, 1951, Marian was united in marriage with Jim Hoerman at the Little Brown Church in Nashua; Chickasaw County, Iowa. They made their home and farmed with Jim's parents northeast of Clarksville, Iowa. While Jim was away in the service, Marian worked for a year at the Clarksville Drug Store. Marian was a loving mother, grandmother, homemaker and farm wife. She enjoyed raising chickens and sold their eggs. For many years beginning in May until harvest time in October, Marian and Jim lived in Emily; Crow Wing County, Minnesota, where they managed a RV park. Marian was a member of the First United Church of Christ – Pleasant Valley, rural Clarksville, where she was active in the Women's Fellowship. She often helped with various Church activities and especially enjoyed making pies for the yearly ice cream social. Marian enjoyed reading and attending the book club at the Clarksville Library. Her pride and joy were her family and loved spending time with them, especially her grandchildren. Marian looked forward to their trip in Minnesota and enjoyed going fishing. Her family loved her cooking especially when she made homemade macaroni and cheese and chocolate cakes. Marian had a wonderful way of keeping them all together and was the back bone of the family. Marian Margaret Anna (Hirsch) Hoerman, age 81, passed away on Thursday; September 24, 2009 at her home in Clarksville, Iowa from natural causes. Those left to mourn her passing are: Her husband, Jim Hoerman of Clarksville, Iowa; two daughters, Branda (Jerry) Schunk of Clarksville, Iowa and Randi Hoerman of Waverly, Iowa; one son, Larry (Brenda) Hoerman of Clarksville, Iowa; ten grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and one sister-in-law, Darlys Hirsch. Marian was preceded in death by her parents; one grandson, Dustin Blasberg; one brother, Eldon Hirsch, Jr.; and one sister, Margaret Courbat. May they rest in peace. Visitation will be from: 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday; September 27, 2009 and 1 hour prior to services at the funeral home. Funeral Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Monday; September 28, 2009, also at the funeral home. Interment will be at the Lynwood Cemetery in Clarksville, Iowa.
