''''''''''''''''''''''''''''' Butler County Press (David City, Nebr.), February 17, 1899, p. 1, col. 4 BRAINARD CLIPPER Obituary - On the 5th of Feb., 1899, at 10 a.m., Mrs. Mary Pekarek passed quietly away, at the home of her son, Michael Pekarek, in the south eastern part of Franklin precinct, Butler county. The deceased was 78 years and 3 days old. She was the mother of six children, five of whom are now living. The funeral took place from the Catholic church in Brainard, at 3 p.m., February 7, conducted by Rev. Father Kline, after which the remains were laid to rest in the Catholic cemetery beside her husband who departed this life five years ago. The friends of the family extend to them their genuine sympathy for their loss of one whose place cannot be filled in this world.
