Born in Spartanburg, S.C. she was the daughter of the late Fred Childers and Mae Smith Childers. She retired from Oxford, loved karaoke, the beach and crafts, and was a member of Northside Baptist Church. Surviving are two daughters, Penny Fowler Coleman and Sherry Fowler Moss and husband, Linc, both of Gaffney; six grandchildren, Nikki Reynolds and husband, Brian, Heather Fowler, Ryan Moss, Randon Moss, A. J. Fowler, Jr. and Blake Fowler; fourteen great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Archie Raymond Fowler, two brothers, Johnny Childers and Jimmy Childers and a sister, Betty Henderson. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at Blakely Funeral Home. Funeral services will immediately follow at 3:00 p.m. in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Ashby Blakely officiating. Interment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens.
